Matched Giving

What is Matched Giving?

Absa Employee Volunteers

Matched giving is a powerful way of supporting employee involvement in non profit organisations. It involves a company matching employees’ donations of time and money with cash grants to

non profit organisations. It is a flexible programme and is easily tailored to meet the needs of your company and your employees.

You can support employee involvement by matching one or more of the following:

  • Cash donations – matching ad hoc single donations to non profit organisations
  • Fund raising – matching money raised by employees through events and other activities
  • Volunteering time – matching your employees’ volunteer hours with a cash grant to the non profit organisation with which they volunteer
  • Gifts in kind – matching the value of new goods bought and donated by employees
