Best wishes this festive season

Happy holidays

As this year draws to a close and we make our way into the festive season, I want to take a moment to share some of CAFSA’s 2017 highlights, and shine a light on what we’re looking forward to in the year ahead.

I joined CAFSA as CEO in January 2017, and it has been an incredible journey. It’s been a privilege to lead CAFSA through a year of transition, one that I’m pleased to say has been exciting, productive and positive.

In 2017, CAFSA recruited five new team members, including two interns. These passionate and dedicated individuals have a key role to play in the future plans of CAFSA, and we are thrilled to have them on board.

From events, employee volunteering activations, CSI strategy sessions and NPO validations, to continued pay-roll giving services, it’s been a busy, fruitful year for CAFSA, our valued clients and partners from the non-profit sector.

As a member of the CAF Global Alliance, CAFSA has forged even stronger relationships with colleagues throughout the world, which has greatly enhanced our value-add to our corporate and non-profit clients.

Plus, this year saw a very strong focus on the profiling of CAFSA and brand awareness. CAFSA has appointed a communications agency to assist with this process and we have seen strong traction as a result.

We are proud to have once again worked with FirstRand to bring their third Beyond Painting Classrooms Conference to life. Two days of rich engagement and sharing of knowledge, it was both a practical and inspiring conference. It was an opportunity to reflect on employee volunteering in South Africa, and a space to share tools and ideas to help the philanthropic world grow and develop in exciting ways.

Thank you for your generosity and friendship in 2017, we look forward to continuing to work together to strengthen civil society in 2018.

On behalf of CAFSA, I wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy festive season, and everything of the best for a brilliant year ahead.

With warm regards,
Gill Bates, CEO of CAFSA
