Gauteng NPO Collaboration Dialogue

On Monday 24 February  CAF Southern Africa, in partnership with SANGONeT, the GivenGain Foundation, Gordon Institute of Business Science, Muthobi and Charisma Consulting, hosted Gauteng’s first Gauteng NPO Collaboration Dialogue, at GIBS, Illovo. The dialogue sessions have been conceptualised to bring together the NPO sector to:

     • Look at novel and innovative solutions to challenging issues in the sector;
     • Explore new ideas;
     • Network and collaborate

Over 50 individuals attended the first Dialogue to hear Akhtar Badshah (Senior Director of Microsoft Citizenship and Global Affairs) speak. Akhtar’s role of heading up the citizenship office of one of the world’s biggest companies has put him at the forefront of how partnerships between non-profits and corporates are evolving. His presentation focussed on strategic partnerships and how technology has been an equaliser and an enabler in MicroSoft’s social investment.
