Get Involved

For Companies

If you are an employee, this campaign is ideal opportunity for you to engage directly with communities and do something practical to help

Volunteers provide much needed services to the most vulnerable in our society – people with disabilities, those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, older people, children and women. Volunteers are pushing back the frontiers of poverty and building a better life for all.

Employee Volunteer Week is all about “doing”. Ask yourself, what did you do today that made a difference?

If you are not already a volunteer, now is the time to become one! Either by yourself, or with your colleagues, you can use this campaign as a starting point to get into volunteering. Download the free Toolkit below to find out what steps you can take to easily (and painlessly!) start your volunteering activity.

If you are already a regular volunteer, you can use the Employee Volunteer Week campaign to get your colleagues involved in your favourite cause or to complete a project you have always wanted to get stuck in to, Lead the way in your company and show them how it’s done!

We are asking all employees to take the initiative and take action.

Download the Toolkit to find out what you can do and how you can do it. The Toolkit is an easy-to-use guide to why employee volunteering matters and what practical steps you can take to make volunteering projects happen.

The Toolkit has lots of ideas for projects, but if you’re stuck for something to do or need some advice, email us at info@cafsouthernafrica.org

Company Questionnaire – Employee Volunteer Week 2010 (15 – 21 March 2010)

Please complete the following form so that CAF Southern Africa can provide your company with volunteering activities available from our database. We develop a database of volunteering opportunities from NPOs and would like to provide both your company and the NPO with a perfect match. It is therefore important for CAF Southern Africa to have as much information on what your company is looking to get involved in as possible.

With more details about your planned engagement we will be in a position to
present to you a match that will fit both you and your partner organisation.

For NPOs

Is your ‘to do’ list getting longer each day? Have you got dozens of ideas for projects but just need some extra hands to get them going? Then employee volunteering is for you!

Employee volunteers give hundreds of hours of help to NPOs and if your organisation is not already benefiting from all that time and talent then Employee Volunteer Week is the perfect way to start.

Whether you need a revamp of your premises, a garden planted, or need someone to show you how to write a financial report, employee volunteers can help.

Employees have lots of skills and expertise which they can share with good causes. But if they don’t know what they can do, then they can’t do it! This campaign is the time for you to show off all the great work you are doing and to tell companies about what you have to offer their employees

Organising a team challenge is a great way to attract new recruits and to get a small projects finished quickly. Download the Toolkit to find out how to boost your volunteer programme. This easy-to-use guide will show you how to set up your volunteering opportunities, how to attract company volunteers and how to host a successful team challenge.

If you need more help to get started, contact us for support and advice. If you are not on our database of NPOs who are looking for volunteer help, email us now with your details at info@cafsouthernafrica.org

NPO Questionnaire – Employee Volunteer Week 2010 (15 – 21 March 2010)

If you are interested in participating in CAF’s Employee Volunteer Week please complete the following form so that we can encourage corporate volunteers to support your NPO during Volunteer Week. From the information provided by NPOs, we will develop a database of volunteering opportunities that companies can use to identify projects that they would like to work on during Employee Volunteer Week 2008 and beyond.

The more detailed information you provide, the better we can present
your ideas and persuade companies to assist your NPO during the Week.
